Paula Camus

Biography

I am PhD in Civil Engineering since 2009 and Maria Zambrano Research Associate nowadays. My research lines have been focused on marine climate characterization at different time scales required in coastal engineering, from short term forecast to very long-term including climate change. I have combined innovative mathematical tools and statistical methods with numerical models to generate historical databases of marine dynamics in coastal areas or to project wave climate. I contributed to the first coordinated multivariate ensemble of 21st Century global wind-wave climate projections available (COWCLIP2.0). I have also developed novelty probabilistic and risk frameworks to assess climate change coastal impacts as erosion, coastal flooding, disruptions of port operations. My last research is related with compound flooding events within CHANCE project at University of Southampton.
